Scarlett Johansson was born on November 22nd, 1984 in New York City New York. She is an American actor and singer whose talents have earned her recognition in a variety of genres - from thrillers and adventures to period films. Johansson was raised in New York City as the mother of an architect as well as a production company. The twin brothers Hunter and she were among the youngest of siblings. At the age of seven years old, her passion for acting had increased. She started to audition for commercials. She joined the Lee Strasberg Theatre Institute shortly after and was a student at the Professional Children's School, Manhattan to continue her training. When she was a kid Johansson was in Sophistry together with Ethan Hawke and made her film debut in Rob Reiner's North on the set of Rob Reiner's North in. Johansson was later seen as a character in Just Cause, but she first made an appearance in Manny & Lo, a film about siblings left behind by their parents who flee. Her next film won the attention of critics for her character as a teenage girl who suffered a disfiguring accident in The Horse Whisperer (1998) and she gained further attention in the role of a sarcastic teen outcast Rebecca in Ghost World (2001). In a commercial on television Smith starred as Dannon Yogurt. Like numerous young actresses, she began her career in theatre. While working on different productions in the USA she made her stage debut with Wildflower. She graduated from at the Stonestreet Studios Conservatory of the New York University Tisch School of the Arts.
