Dina Meyer was born and raised in Forest Hills, Queens, New York, but moved to Dix Hills, Long Island shortly before the end of her final year in junior high school. Two of her brothers are Gregory, her older brother and Evan. At the age of 9 until 16, she began working in the industry of entertainment through modelling. Ron Stetson taught her the Sanford Meisner acting technique at The Neighborhood Playhouse. Sandra Bullock has received the similar training received by Jeff Goldblum and Leslie Nielsen. Her first acting role came from Beverly Hills 90210. This required her moving out to Los Angeles. The first film she appeared in was Johnny Mnemonic. She did all of the stunts in the movie, and it established her as an athlete as well as an actress. The agency she was represented by was Matt LeBlanc, so through her talent agent she managed to secure a regular spot on Friends.
